Basically I found this site Easy Google Profit that offers an easy to file guide about how to start earning money on Google. Once I got the guide, I just followed the instructions and started working the next day, writing small ads that appear on Google search. The ads started to accumulate money, and I was mailed checks from Google every week. Here is one of my checks from October in 2008 - this was for 1 week of work:

UPDATE (March 11th, 2009):
While I was searching for easy extra income, I came across a site that shows you the REAL way to get free grants from the government as a result of the current crisis in the economy. Similar to Easy Google Profit, I sent for the kit only having to pay the $1.95 shipping. Honestly, for the amount I got back from this project, it seems like a joke.
Once I got the program, I immediately applied for thousands of grants that most people don’t even know about. It really wasn’t a hassle and I was surprised and amazed that most people didn’t know about it. With a single application I was able to receive a check for $12,000 which because it’s a grant I will never have to pay back.
